Weekly Ins and Outs...

Ins:

Have had a great time the past week enjoying the tiny bit of sun we have had and catching up with friends and my boyfriend.

Gorgeous blue sky we get once in a long while!

On a walk with Liam in the village x

Tuesday night I went to my friends house for a BBQ with all of her family. She has a few older sisters all with young families so was nice to catch up with them all..and we took part in a little bit of face painting...maybe didn't help that they were the face painters so we just had splats of paint all over our faces! Nevertheless, it was a great evening and nice to see them all.

Wednesday after working 6am-12, Liam and I drove up to Manchester as we had tickets for the first group game of the GB Mens football at Old Trafford for Thursday night. I had such a lovely time away with Liam, was so nice to just be us for a change and everyone seemed to be so happy as the sun was out, lovely weather, but of course all cheering Great Britain on!

Ice Lolly in Picadilly Gardens before getting the tram, London2012 sign, Outside Old Trafford, Line up and crowd singing National Anthem

I didn't think I'd get so into it as I have been, but on Friday night I was at Liam's and we all watched the London 2012 opening Olympics ceremony. In my opinion, it was a great ceremony. Although I didn't really enjoy the beginning showing Britain in history, I know it all appealed to all different age groups. I loved the music, Mr Bean and the spoof with the Queen however, my Gran loved the bits I didn't so there was definitely something for everyone! It has been so exciting watching all different sports..especially the gymnastics today which was so exciting!

Outs:

Last week was a bit gutting...I have accepted my place on the course in Manchester to do a 2 year foundation degree. However, having rung student finance last week I then found out as I have already done a degree I get no funding whatsoever. Not one penny. Yet a man I spoke to the week before said I'd get max everything and even wrote on my notes that I would so some poor woman had to break it to me on the phone. I actually have no idea what to do at the moment.. am trying to save every penny I have and work out a way. But, I need to save £5,400 just for the first years fees let alone living costs...eek! So I will soon be having blog sales, many ebay sales, and also advertising spaces coming up..so let me know if you would like to be a part of it. - Details will come on a later post. Luckily this news came before going to Manchester, so at least I had a pick-me-up to look forward to!

Does anyone have any tips on how to save any money or earn money quickly, either with my blog or just in daily life?! Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

Have a good week!

Very late birthday post!

So those of you who know me know how useless I am with getting photos up from my camera onto facebook...in fact, it was my birthday on the 10th June and I have only recently uploaded them..oops!

I had a great birthday, just want to say a very late thank you for all the messages, texts and tweets! I was a very lucky girlie and ended up having two birthdays! I went out the night before with Liam and all our friends for a curry and then for drinks in town and then spent the day of my birthday with Liam and family.

Sorry for the awful quality but this is what I wore out
Dress - Primark
Wedges - New Look

Friends at the curry house just before going out to drink some more!
Me with my two friends who couldn't come to the meal x
Birthday girl! Dress - Jane Norman

So, onto the pics of presents! I have taken a selection of photos as was a very lucky girlie so didn't want to clog up the page! My mum and dad are treating me to a new lens for my camera which I am hopefully getting on Tuesday..soo excited about that!

Liam spoilt me and as we'd just joined a gym in Manchester he bought me some Adidas trainers to make sure I carried on with my keep fit! (They obviously had to be pink!) I also got Sims3 on DS from him as I am a Sims geek but my laptop is too slow to run the PC game! I didn't want to do too much of a photo overload but he got me the Twilight Saga boxset and my fave present which I had been hinting at wanting / needing it for a long time... this gorgeous dress! He kept telling me I didn't need anymore clothes, which I don't, but he was obviously feeling lovely!

This can be found in other colours from the funkydivaa website here

I got a lovely surprise in the post from Charlotte from Confessions of a Small Town Girl and Rachel from Life of a Sweetaholic..thank you girlies! And have added in presents off a few other friends..as you can see I was well and truly spoilt! I love how Rachel added in the Yankee candles when I said I wanted to try them a while back...they smell amazing!! And Charlotte, thanks for all the heart things (that aren't pictured as I was wearing them haha!)...you know me too well ;)
Off one of my best friends I got a me2u keyring where the heart splits in half and you each keep half of it..so cute! And a voucher for a pamper day..cannot wait!

Again, sorry this is so late but it doesn't mean I don't appreciate everything!

Weekly Ins and Outs...

Hi everyone, hope you've all had a good week.. (sorry for the late post, have been at Liam's and didn't take my laptop!)

This week has been a pretty good week for me..although have been working lots again, they haven't been late shifts so have had lots of time to see people and go out!

  • On Wednesday Liam and I went to the cinema to see 'The Amazing Spiderman.' And yes, it was pretty damn amazing! I cried quite a lot too as I'm a big softie! I just loved it as there were comical bits like when he had been bitten but didn't realise how strong he actually was, a love story attached (as in the old ones) and sad bits too. It was just a great film, so if you haven't..go see it! You can also look geeky like I'm sure we did in 3D glasses!!

  • Thursday night after work I went round to my friends house to get ready to go out. Kay, Laura and I had a great time catching up and getting ready together whilst the boys all played fifa and drunk downstairs! I still need to put photos up on the old faceyb but here are a few snapshots :)
Laura, me and Kay-standard toilet photo!

Me just before we left with the boys playing fifa in the background!

(I will soon do an OOTD post with this dress that I got from my lovely boyfriend for my birthday!)
  • Sunday I went round to my best friend Tasha's house..she has just moved house so I was helping to decide on colours for her room and think we have finally settled on two colours! We also went shopping in town (post to come!) and for a lunch date to Pizza Express..yum! We paid for one main meal and got another pizza for £2.50 which was pretty good. You can find other deals for Pizza Express here :)

  • Sunday evening Tasha came with me to watch Liam play football. - My Sunday evenings have ended up me standing at the side of the pitch watching him...but I'm not complaining as it's nice to see everyone especially when the girls watch too! Plus, the weather was gorgeous so I was stood in a dress and flipflops in the sun, which I didn't mind one bit!
  • I've been trying to be good and once again have a few things up on ebay! I will be having a blog sale soon enough, but for now please take a look at my ebay tab on the blog! Thank youu!

Outs: I can't really say there have been any outs for last week, this week however.......grrrr, you'll find that out in a later post!

Hope you've all had a good week!

NOTD: The Perfect Nude

So this is my first NOTD on the blog..mainly because working on tills at work they always chip :( As I didn't start until 12 today and was ready really early, I found myself turning to my bursting nail varnish bag and chose a colour I love but haven't worn in a while.

This has to be one of my favourite nail polishes and definitely my favourite nude polish. I used to search for so long trying to find a good, long-lasting nude colour that went with any outfit and was 'plain' enough to wear for work and this is it!

Top fingernail - after one coat
Bottom fingernail - after two coats
This is a very affordable nail polish at £2.99 from Boots and the shade is Boots 17 Lasting Fix Nail Polish - Forever.

Have you managed to find any other great nude polishes?

I'm back..for good! Weekly Ins and Outs..

I am finally back and I am so sorry for the huge delay! I came home for Easter and then got sidetracked with work and just didn't feel in the right frame of mind to post after that..more about all that in future posts!
But for now am ready to begin blogging again and have lots of posts lined up for you!

As I am out for a meal with work, I have scheduled my weekly ins and outs to come out this evening otherwise I may not get the chance to publish it! Sorry for a huge post but this has been a very exciting week so don't want to forget about it! I am now part of the Instagram clan so photos from that will be helping me show you all my week :) You can follow me on ginab1989

Ins:
  • After lots that has happened recently, I have finally decided that I want to do a photography course where I can gain a recognised qualification for it. So on Sunday night, Liam and I went off to Manchester ready for my interview early Monday morning. It is a 2 year foundation degree and although I will be in even more debt, I cannot wait to get started as it is definitely where I see my life heading! (This is assuming I got on...seeing as they said if I haven't applied for Student Finance yet, then do so ASAP so... yayyy!) After finding that out, we treated ourselves to some Krispy Kreme doughnuts, as Liam also did well in his exams for uni.

  • My friend / Liam's best friend and his girlfriend's baby was due today. However, she ended up having to have a C section on Wednesday. Yet, on Tuesday evening just before I went to work, we got a call saying that her waters had broken! Their baby, Lilly, was born that evening and on Thursday, Liam and I went to visit. He has been asked to be her godfather and I just love this pic! She is literally the cutest baby I have ever seen!! And Liam looks such a natural :) Anywayy, away from me getting all broody..haha.

A very proud Liam with his goddaughter <3

  • Pay Day was yesterday and I am officially under £1000 into my overdraft and it feels amazing! (It may not last long with rent and bills coming out soon though!) However, thought I'd treat myself to a £1 scratch card and won £10..bonus!

  • Also, I've been a bit annoying clogging my twitter & facebook up entering loads of competitions recently. However I won one with Hallmark Cards yesterday..I will wait to find out what I win! :)

  • Annnnd I got sent a load of hair products to review so will do that soon!

All in all, it has been a great week...the only 'out' I can think of is that I have been working so so many hours! But next pay day, it will all seem worth it again!

Hope you have all had a lovely week,

Gina xoxo
